If u care share

As a specialist service supporting people bereaved by suicide, this first group took a courageous step into the unknown with us, helping to shape the foundations of the Change the Story model. It quickly became clear that what they needed most was space beyond their story of loss — a place to reconnect with their creative strengths.

Beginning with scrapbooks and surreal three-word poems, the group gradually built confidence and trust, moving into animation as a shared form. The Misunderstood Moth emerged slowly, then joyfully — a story of a giraffe trapped in a grey, lonely world, and a moth who wanted to teach hope through dance and colour. Through metaphor and making, the group explored transformation safely, discovering how creative resilience can grow through trust, play and shared problem-solving.
