‘The View From Nowhere’

Warm Digits - Music video

‘The View From Nowhere’ is a reference to the mid-century approach to psychotherapy, requiring the therapist to remove the ‘self’ from their view of the patient.

Created using 2D stop-motion animation with Singer Emma Pollock’s performance cut from printed film stills. The undulating head belongs with, but is at odds to, bold sequences of geometric print. Together they push and pull with the song to explore ideas of identity and someone working to separate themselves from their humanity.
